Miquel Barceló
Founder

Founder Miquel Barceló has a PhD in Industrial Engineering from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), a degree in economics from the University of Barcelona (UB) and graduated in social sciences at ICESB. Among other positions, Miquel was Executive Chairman from 2004-2007 of 22@Barcelona, independent deputy of the Parliament of Catalonia from 1999 to 2004, Chairman of the Committee on Industry and Energy, General Director of the Catalan Institute of Technology 1987-1999, Assistant General Director of Industrial Safetyand, subsequently, Standardization and Regulation of Ministry of Industry and Energy, 1985-1987, Founding President of the Spanish Network of Laboratories (RELE) and Founding Member of the Board of AENOR.
Currently, Abertis Telecom Advisor, CEO of the Foundation B-tec, President of AIDA Center and Innopro Global Services, and associate professor of UPF University. He is the author of several books and articles including “Catalunya, un país industrial” which won the Joan Sardà Award 2003. Miquel Barceló brings extensive experience of the industrial field, especially Catalan, knowledge and an extensive network of contacts.
